Trump and Putin meet in Alaska: will this change the war in Ukraine

Today, August 15, a meeting is scheduled in Alaska between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is attracting great interest worldwide, as many hope that these negotiations could help end the war in Ukraine.

Will the meeting between Trump and Putin yield results

Most of the surveyed Ukrainians do not believe in any real positive results from this meeting, considering it might only be an exchange of favors between individuals rather than a resolution of political issues. However, there are also those who, despite skepticism, hold hope for positive change.

'In fact, there will be some results. But they will either be mere words, or it will be a verdict between the heads, not the states.'

'I think nothing will change. Putin will not concede, and Trump won't want to, his mood changes like our Lviv weather. So I am not counting on anything.'

'I can't tell you what those results will be, because both are mentally unstable. They have their agreements, they want to do their own projects with Russia. Therefore, I doubt that this will change anything for Ukraine.'

'I would like it to have results because we are so tired of this, and we feel sorry for our children. We really hope that this meeting will change something.'

'I think we do not expect any results. The war is dragging on, they are agreeing on their interests, Trump will make deals with Russia, and Ukraine will be left aside. But we believe in a better future, we need to be optimistic; everything will be fine. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!'
