Meeting of Zelensky and Putin at G20: what the leaders will discuss.
According to inkorr.com: At the G20 summit, which will take place in South Africa at the end of November, there is a possibility of a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Finnish President Alexander Stubb. Although there are currently no clear signs of a swift ceasefire, international diplomacy is actively working behind the scenes.
'The only way to negotiations is to increase pressure so that Putin agrees to sit at the table,'
Stubb also mentioned that at the same summit, there could be a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. He believes that international pressure can push Russia towards negotiations.
Possible meeting this month
According to the Finnish President, a meeting between Zelensky and Putin could happen even this month at the G20 summit in Johannesburg if the situation is favorable.
Moreover, NATO reported on the strategic failures that Putin is facing.
This meeting between the President of Ukraine and the Russian leader at the G20 summit has the potential to be key to resolving the conflict in Donbas. Hopes for a ceasefire and negotiations are rising, although the real situation remains complex and ambiguous.
