Liberating Transnistria from the "Russian world" is impossible without Ukraine - expert.
Ukraine is the only country that can assist Moldova in liberating Transnistria from the unrecognized "Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" ("PMR") and Russian military bases. This was stated by the managing partner of the National Anti-Crisis Group, Taras Zahorodnii, during an interview with the TV channel FREEДОМ.
Zahorodnii explained that without Ukraine's help, it is impossible to achieve the demilitarization of Transnistria, where Russian military bases are located. The first obstacle is the absence of an army in Moldova, and the second is the geographical challenges, as Transnistria is located on the left bank of the Dniester River, and access to it is hindered by the destruction of bridges. Only Ukraine, which borders Transnistria by land, can provide the necessary assistance and liberate the region from Russian troops.
Zahorodnii also noted that the liberation of Transnistria is of great importance for Moldova from an economic perspective, as important industrial facilities are located in the area. Moreover, Moldova's main power-generating capacity - the Moldovan GRES and Dubăsari HPP - is located here. Therefore, Moldova has to buy electricity from Transnistria.
