Zelensky Simplifies Border Crossing for Youth: Who Will Benefit from the Changes.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, instructed to simplify the crossing of the state border for youth. Political science candidate Andriy Kovalov explained all the nuances of the decision regarding the departure from Ukraine of men up to 22 years old.
Recently, President Zelensky announced that he had instructed the government, together with the military command, to work out the possibility of simplifying the state border crossing for young Ukrainians — referring to men under 22 years old.
As explained by the political science candidate — this will apply exclusively to students.
'I am convinced that this decision will apply exclusively to students. I want to remind you that the conscription age in Ukraine starts at 25 years. Therefore, this does not concern youth aged 22 at all', — said the expert.
Andriy Kovalov stated that the president's decision to grant students the opportunity to leave is correct and timely. At the same Time, there remains a question of how it will be implemented in practice.
As an example, he mentioned an acquaintance who studies in Greece and had to come to Ukraine every three months to renew his exit permit. According to the new rules, this will need to be done once a year.
In summary: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, instructed the government to simplify the crossing of the state border for young Ukrainians aged up to 22 years. This will allow students to travel abroad more easily, but it remains unclear how this initiative will be implemented in practice.Read also
