The State Emergency Service once again urges citizens to be cautious near water bodies and reminds: in case of danger, urgently call the Rescue Service at number 101.

The service also provides recommendations for safe behavior in the water:

• Rest on the water (swimming, boating) only in specially designated places.
• The safest time to rest on the water is during daylight hours.
• Swimming is allowed in calm and windless weather, with water temperature not lower than +18°C and air temperature not lower than +24°C.
• Before swimming, it is recommended to undergo a medical examination.
• After eating, swimming should not occur until at least 1.5-2 hours have passed.
• Enter the water slowly, allowing the body to acclimate to the temperature change.
• Do not stay in the water for more than 15 minutes.
• After swimming, it is better to rest in the shade rather than sunbathe.
• One should not swim alone near steep, sheer, and densely vegetated shores.
• Before jumping into the water, make sure the bottom is safe and the depth of the water body is sufficient.
• Dive only in places with adequate depth, clear water, and a flat bottom.
• Boating (on small vessels) is allowed only after registration with the duty officer at the boat station.
