107,000 Ukrainians Cross Border in One Day: Where the Longest Lines Are Forming.
Current State of the Poland-Ukraine Border
According to Novyny.live: The Poland-Ukraine border is experiencing uneven pressure across its checkpoints, leading to congestion on the most popular routes. In the past 24 hours, 107,000 citizens crossed the frontier, with the majority entering Ukraine.
Checkpoints with the most significant queues include:
- Shehyni
- Krakovets
- Rava-Ruska
Traffic jams were recorded at the following border crossings:
- Ustyluh
- Shehyni
- Uzhhorod
Andriy Demchenko noted, 'Yesterday, 107,000 citizens already crossed the border, with the majority heading into Ukraine.'
However, he added that 'there was no major increase in foot traffic crossing the border when comparing Friday to Saturday.'
Additionally, vehicle inspections have been tightened at the Moldova border, which could affect overall crossing conditions in that region.
This high volume of movement between Ukraine and Poland, especially the inflow into Ukraine, reflects ongoing economic, social, and humanitarian factors. The stricter checks at the Moldova border may also shift travel patterns, so monitoring developments across all crossing points is essential for understanding potential changes.
