According to UATV: On March 15, 2023, Russian troops launched 20 separate assaults on communities in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. The bombardments left one woman dead and multiple people injured, including two casualties recorded in the Nikopol district.
The strikes caused extensive damage: over ten apartment buildings and private homes were hit. In the Pokrovsk community, six houses sustained damage. Fires also broke out at a transport facility in the Kamianske district and in the Pavlohrad district, where the body of the deceased woman was recovered from beneath rubble.
Civilian Toll and Broader Impact
Among the wounded was a bread delivery driver, who was hospitalized with injuries from the shelling. In the village of Novoselovka, within the Chernihiv district, a drone strike resulted in additional deaths and injuries, including among military personnel and a police officer. Local official Oleksandr Hanzha provided details on the situation.
This latest wave of violence underscores the ongoing intensity of hostilities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where civilian areas and infrastructure remain frequent targets. Residents face mounting dangers, highlighting the urgent need for security measures and humanitarian aid. As the conflict persists, such incidents may galvanize renewed international efforts to address the crisis and bolster support for Ukraine.
