By July 26, the Last Surviving Gas Station on the Kharkiv–Kyiv Highway Was Destroyed – Now Every Station Along the Route Is Gone.

According to Espreso.tv: The systematic destruction of fuel infrastructure has become a hallmark of the war, leaving major routes like the Kharkiv–Kyiv highway without any working gas stations.

Fuel Station Crisis

Oleksandr Skoryk, a deputy in the Kharkiv Oblast Council, described a dire situation for fuel stations along the Kharkiv–Kyiv road. He stated that all filling stations on that corridor—especially the stretch from Kharkiv to Poltava—have been completely wiped out. The last still-operating station, located in the settlement of Valky, was destroyed on July 26.

Across Ukraine, more than 200 gas stations have been destroyed, with over 80 of them located in Kharkiv city and the surrounding region. This devastation stems from ongoing attacks—a point also highlighted by Serhiy Beskrestnov, an advisor to Ukraine’s president, who has identified areas at particular risk.

As of today, every gas station on the Kharkiv–Kyiv highway, specifically the segment from Kharkiv to Poltava, has been completely destroyed.

Skoryk added the remark, 'We live, we struggle, we fight,' reflecting the tough conditions that residents of the region currently face. The situation with highway fuel stations is just one element of a larger problem concerning security and infrastructure across Ukraine.
