According to UATV: Fierce fighting continues across the front, with the heaviest activity concentrated in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts, where Russian forces are attempting to break through defensive lines. On July 20, a total of 217 combat engagements were recorded. The aggressor's primary efforts are focused on the Slavyansk and Pokrovsk axes, where Ukrainian defenders have repelled nearly 60 enemy assaults.

Viktor Trehubov stated that 'the occupiers are conducting active operations toward the Velykyi Burluk district of Kharkiv region and Kozacha Lopan,' emphasizing that 'the situation remains difficult on five sectors of the front.'
