Ukraine Creates Defence City: 25 Foreign Companies Localize Production.
According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, reported that as of today, 25 foreign companies, including major players in global defense manufacturing, are actively engaged in localizing Ukrainian products. Each manufacturer cooperates with the government of Ukraine to ensure their products are used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We offer partners various cooperation models, including the 'Danish model', Build with Ukraine / Build in Ukraine. The priority is to ensure that the main part of the company's production goes to the needs of the Ukrainian military.
Establishment of Defence City
To reduce risks for investors and create better conditions for joint ventures, the government initiates the launch of Defence City – a special regime for the development of the defense industry. This program includes tax incentives, simplification of customs procedures, mechanisms for relocating production to safe regions, expanding financial support from the state, as well as opportunities for export and integration into global supply chains.
Appeal to Investors
Addressing foreign companies regarding investments in Ukraine, the Minister of Defense emphasized: 'This is where the latest weapons are being developed, capable of influencing combat operations. Investments in the Ukrainian defense complex are the best investment in the defense of Europe.'
Ukraine is actively attracting foreign companies for the development of localized production. The main goal is to provide military equipment and weapons that meet European safety and quality standards.
The participation of foreign companies in the localization of production not only supports the Ukrainian defense industry but also contributes to strengthening the country's defense capability in the face of current challenges. The Defence City initiative demonstrates the government’s serious approach to creating favorable conditions for investment, which could positively impact the economic situation in Ukraine.
