According to Novyny.live: Meteorologists are forecasting snow, icy roads, and wet snow accumulation across Ukraine for Thursday, January 25. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, light snowfall is expected in some regions of the country.
Nighttime temperatures in the northeast and east are predicted to drop to between -12 and -17 °C (-17.6 to 1.4 °F), with daytime highs of -7 to -12 °C (19.4 to 10.4 °F). Meanwhile, in the south and west, overnight lows will range from -3 to -8 °C (26.6 to 17.6 °F), rising to -4 to +1 °C (24.8 to 33.8 °F) during the day.
Hazardous Weather Conditions
Due to these conditions, a first-level yellow weather warning has been issued. Icy conditions are anticipated in the western regions, as well as in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Zakarpattia oblasts, which could create dangerous driving situations.
This winter weather poses a significant risk to transportation infrastructure, as ice and snow accumulation increase hazards for drivers. Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads, especially in the mentioned regions, and to adhere to traffic rules.
