According to UATV: On June 6, Ukraine’s General Staff reported a sharp escalation in hostilities, with 269 combat engagements recorded along the front line over the past 24 hours. Russian forces launched multiple attempts to pierce Ukrainian defensive positions across several key sectors.

In the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Kostiantynivka directions, the enemy carried out 93 breakthrough attempts. Meanwhile, in the northern Siversk-Sloboda and Kursk sectors, three clashes occurred, during which Russian forces dropped four guided aerial bombs in three airstrikes. In total, the aggressor shelled Ukrainian troop positions and civilian settlements 72 times.

Enemy Assaults

  • In the southern Sloboda direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions seven times.
  • On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy advances.
  • The Lyman sector saw 29 attempts by Russian forces to wedge into Ukrainian defenses.
  • In the Sloviansk area, occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions nine times.
  • On the Kramatorsk front, Russian troops tried four times to push Ukrainian defenders out.
  • The Kostiantynivka direction recorded 22 attacks.
  • In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces successfully halted 31 enemy assaults.
  • The Oleksandrivka direction faced 11 attacks.
  • Huliaipole saw 40 assault attempts.
  • On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy stormed positions once.
  • In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped a single offensive action.

No signs of offensive troop formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors. These figures highlight the intense combat activity on the front and the challenging situation facing Ukraine’s armed forces.

The frontline remains under severe pressure, with Russian forces ramping up operations to achieve strategic gains in critical areas. Despite this heavy onslaught, Ukrainian troops continue to hold their ground and effectively defend their positions, maintaining control over the territory.
