Ukraine's Defense Forces Achieve Major Operational Gains

According to Espreso.tv: Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has released a detailed update on the performance of Ukraine's Defense Forces, highlighting significant enemy casualties, improved strike capabilities, and successful logistics operations. According to his report, Ukrainian forces have killed or severely wounded 31,530 Russian personnel. In May 2023, the number of long-range strikes exceeding 50 kilometers doubled, reflecting a sharp increase in the effectiveness of Ukrainian attacks.

Logistics Missions and Air Defense Successes

The Defense Forces executed over 14,000 logistics and evacuation missions using unmanned aerial systems, averaging 455 missions per day. Ukraine's air defense achieved record-breaking results against Shahed drones, as the enemy launched more than 10,000 attack drones—a 25% increase from April. Meanwhile, the drone interception rate rose by 50%.

“We continue to exhaust the enemy simultaneously across three domains—in the sky, on the ground, and in the economy,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.

He further emphasized that 'destroying logistics, transport, and supply depots forces the enemy to spend resources on survival rather than advancing.' Interceptor drones have played a critical role in these outcomes. On May 27, 2023, Ukraine launched the 'Logistics Lockdown' program, designed to further streamline logistical operations.

These results underscore the ongoing intensity of combat operations in Ukraine, which continue to shape the strategic situation on the front lines. The growing effectiveness of Ukraine's Defense Forces—especially in reconnaissance and air defense—could alter the balance of power in the conflict. The introduction of the 'Logistics Lockdown' program also signals Ukraine's commitment to optimizing resources and management processes during wartime, a crucial factor for maintaining unit stability and morale.
