According to ТСН: The design of the television decor during Vladimir Putin's 'direct line' clearly indicates his stance on Ukraine.

Sky News Moscow correspondent Ivor Bennett emphasizes that the content of Putin's speech contains important messages for the Ukrainian side.

The Map as a Sign

'On the wall behind him hangs a map of Russia. Take a close look at the far left side. Not only Crimea is marked there, but all four occupied Ukrainian regions — Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson,' the journalist noted.

He also pointed out that while Russian troops do not yet fully control these regions, Vladimir Putin has already declared them as his.

Kremlin's Signal

'By projecting these territories against today's backdrop, the Kremlin sends a signal: it has no intention of relinquishing its claims to them,' Bennett stated.

According to the journalist, the issue of territories remains a major stumbling block in the negotiations for a peace agreement, indicating that the situation will not change as Moscow shows no willingness to compromise.

Putin's Position

During the 'direct line', Putin also expressed his views on how Zelensky should visit the front, although he himself does not appear there.

He added that he has no intention of changing the demands for peace negotiations that were previously stated.

Thus, the Kremlin's position and its visualization during official events indicate a lack of intentions for agreement. This only underscores that in the conflict with Ukraine, the Kremlin remains firm in its positions, and peace in the region requires significant efforts from both sides.
