How did the joint photo of Zaluzhny and Kivalov appear? The author of the book "Iron General" told the story.
Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi defended his dissertation at the Odessa Law Academy, the president of which is Serhii Kivalov. There is a joint photo of them. This story caused condemnation. However, Zaluzhnyi had no alternative in choosing an educational institution. This was told by Zaluzhnyi's former communications officer Liudmyla Dolhonovska.
Dolhonovska noted that she does not know how the general reacted to the criticism, as she did not discuss it with him. She also mentioned that Zaluzhnyi's dissertation is classified and only in this educational institution is there a specialized academic council that has access to state secrets in this direction.
Regarding the photo with Kivalov, Dolhonovska explained that Zaluzhnyi did not prohibit taking photos with different people, but he wanted to be open to everyone. She also pointed out that the bunker mentioned in the book "Iron General. Lessons of Humanity" is a notional figure and does not contain sensitive information. There were no complaints about this.
The author's book reveals some aspects of Zaluzhnyi's life and views on war and politics. It went on sale on August 22.
It should be noted that Zaluzhnyi is currently serving as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
