Which Xiaomi smartphones will be the first to get HyperOS 3 - list.
Xiaomi is preparing one of the largest software updates - HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, the release of which is expected in September 2025. The company will focus on improved animation, performance, and a refreshed design, with flagship and premium models being the first to access the firmware.
Journalists from XiaomiTime report that among the company's flagship devices, the first to receive the update will be the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15T Pro, and Xiaomi 14T Pro. The gaming flagships Redmi K70 Ultra and Redmi K80 Ultra will also quickly receive the update. The new version of HyperOS 3 will come out of the box with the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro models.
What's new in HyperOS 3
HyperOS 3 is built on Android 16 with the integration of Xiaomi's proprietary enhancements. The update is aimed at maintaining the speed and relevance of devices in 2025 and beyond. Key changes include a new animation system with smoother transitions, improved performance optimization, a refreshed interface, increased system stability, and better interaction within the Xiaomi device ecosystem.
The public release of HyperOS 3.0 is expected in September-October 2025. Initially, the firmware will be available for flagships, after which it will expand to mid-range and entry-level segments. You can check for updates on HyperOSUpdates.com or by installing the MemeOS Enhancer app from the Play Store - it provides access to hidden Xiaomi features, updates for system applications, and notifications about firmware availability on-screen.
It is reminded that Xiaomi is still rolling out HyperOS 2.1 based on Android 15, but is already preparing the next step - the release of HyperOS 3. The new version of the firmware promises noticeable changes in the interface, wider capabilities, and improved performance for many of the brand's models.
We also noted that at the end of April 2025, seven Xiaomi smartphones lost official support. These devices will no longer receive security updates and new OS versions, as the company has deemed them obsolete.
Summary: Xiaomi is preparing HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, with enhanced animation, performance, and a refreshed design. The first updates will be received by flagship and premium models, and the new version of the firmware promises significant changes in the interface and improved performance.Read also
