Ukraine Braces for an Active Weather Front: Heavy Rain and Hail Expected in Western Regions.
Weather Forecast for Ukraine: June 12–14
According to Espreso.tv: Meteorologist Natalka Didenko has warned that an active atmospheric front is set to impact weather conditions across Ukraine. The western part of the country will bear the brunt of this system, with forecasts calling for intense downpours and hail. A sharp temperature divide is also expected between western and eastern areas.
On June 12, western Ukraine will see heavy rainfall overnight, followed by moderate showers and possible thunderstorms during the day. Elsewhere, the night will remain dry, but daytime rain is predicted for the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions. Over the following two days, June 13–14, most of the country can expect brief showers and thunderstorms.
Air Temperatures and Safety Advice
On June 12, overnight temperatures will range from 10°C to 18°C, while daytime highs will reach 24°C to 29°C. In the west, however, daytime temperatures will only climb to 15°C–20°C, compared to 25°C–30°C in the east and southeast.
'Tomorrow’s temperatures will be highly contrasting: +11°C to +15°C in the west, versus +25°C to +30°C in the eastern and southeastern regions.' Natalka Didenko
Residents across Ukraine should prepare for rapidly changing weather, particularly the heavy rains in the west and the significant temperature swings between regions. These shifts could disrupt daily routines, especially outdoor activities, and may also trigger local flooding. Extra caution is advised in western areas, where the most severe conditions are forecast.
