The Ministry of Defense has adopted 9 new REB systems: what tasks will they solve.
In July 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine made a decision to allow the use of nine new electronic warfare and reconnaissance (EW/RER) systems in the Defense Forces. According to the department, over 90% of these innovations are produced by Ukrainian defense enterprises.

Ukraine has adopted nine modern types of REB units
Updating the REB fleet is currently an important task for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as, in the modern combat conditions, the effectiveness of such systems is crucial for successfully carrying out tasks on the front lines.
The Ministry of Defense continues to supply new models of EW means for the Armed Forces that meet the needs of the front, - the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
Since the beginning of 2025, the defense department has already put into operation nearly 80 new EW and RER systems. For comparison, during 2024, this figure was over 150 units, most of which were developed by Ukrainian engineers and manufacturers.
It is noted that Ukrainian military personnel have spotted Russian reconnaissance drones operating on artificial intelligence at the front. Additionally, earlier ISW analysts noted that Russia has improved its drones that can avoid electronic warfare means.
Ukraine is strengthening its defense capability and increasing effectiveness in modern combat conditions by implementing the latest electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems for the Armed Forces.
