Drone Strike Hits Tula Again: Explosives Plant 'Azot' Engulfed in Flames, Civilian Wounded.
Drone Attack in Russia’s Tula Region
According to Espreso.tv: A recent drone assault in Russia’s Tula region has damaged both an industrial facility and a private home. According to Tula Governor Dmitri Milyaev, the 'Azot' plant in Novomoskovsk—a facility that manufactures explosives—was hit. This marks the second time in a month that the plant has been targeted by drones; a previous attack on June 14 also sparked a fire at the site.
Impact of the Strike
In addition to the plant damage, a residential house in the Shchyokino district was struck, leaving one woman injured. Power lines in the area were also damaged. Milyaev claimed that 73 Ukrainian drones were intercepted or destroyed during the operation.
The attack highlights a worrying escalation in the region, especially given the repeated targeting of the 'Azot' plant. Such incidents reflect the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, where drones have become a key tool in military operations.
This trend suggests that drone strikes may become more frequent, posing growing risks to civilians and critical infrastructure. The repeated hits on industrial sites like 'Azot' underscore the vulnerability of Russia’s defense-related manufacturing to aerial attacks.
