Ukraine's February 28th Toll

According to UATV: A strike by attack drones hit the Kyiv region on February 28th, with devastating consequences for the Obukhivshchyna area. According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnik, the assault damaged a private house, a vehicle, and a hangar.

These attacks are part of a broader pattern of Russian strikes targeting civilian infrastructure far from the front lines. In the Sumy region, the same day's attack killed two women and injured another person. There, a two-story agricultural firm building was destroyed and five residential homes were damaged.

Shelling in the Donetsk region caused severe destruction, damaging nearly 50 homes. In the Pokrovsk district, six private houses were hit and one man was wounded.

Impact Across Other Regions

In the Kramatorsk district, a residential apartment building was partially destroyed and over 45 private houses were damaged. One home was damaged in the Bakhmut district due to shelling. Over the course of the day, Russian forces shelled settlements in Donetsk region 16 times. Due to the security situation, 331 people, including 98 children, were evacuated from the front line.

It is also worth noting that in the Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of February 28th, more than 10 drone attacks occurred. This series of strikes continues to cause deep concern among local populations facing severe losses and destruction.

The attacks of February 28th underscore an escalation of the conflict in Ukrainian regions bearing the brunt of the fighting.

Residents of the affected areas are now confronting serious consequences, including the loss of homes and lives. Given the situation, authorities continue to implement measures for civilian evacuation and safety, which is critically important amid growing threats from hostile forces.
