Hostile Assault on Dnipro
According to Espreso.tv: At 11:14, the city of Dnipro came under enemy fire, according to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack ignited a blaze at a logistics company’s warehouse and set several vehicles on fire. As of 11:45, authorities are still working to determine the number of casualties.
This incident took place on May 21, during a drone assault by the Russian military on the city. In a previous attack on the same day, 19 individuals were harmed, with two of those sustaining injuries in the broader region. Hanzha emphasized that the count of those affected is still being verified.
Impact on Civilian Infrastructure
Strikes on civilian infrastructure, like this one in Dnipro, underscore the prolonged and intense nature of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, as well as its devastating toll on non-combatants. Earlier assaults in this area have already resulted in loss of life and extensive property damage, raising serious concerns about resident safety. Local officials continue to gather data on the injured, a critical step for delivering aid and assessing the full scope of the attack’s consequences.
