Fatal attack in Ivano-Frankivsk claims life of National Guard member and his 15-year-old daughter.
A Family’s Return Turns to Tragedy
According to Novyny.live: A devastating enemy strike in Ivano-Frankivsk killed two people on their way home from a hospital visit: a National Guard serviceman and his teenage daughter, aged 15. The incident occurred in the city center as the family was returning from the regional perinatal center, where they had just visited the mother, who had given birth to a son only days earlier.
Several others were wounded in the attack, including a six-year-old girl who is now in the intensive care unit of the regional children’s hospital. According to Svitlana Onyshchuk,
“In the center of the city, a father and his eldest, 15-year-old daughter lost their lives. He had come to see his wife at the maternity hospital, who had given birth to a son just a few days ago.”
The injured girl, who suffered multiple shrapnel wounds, is in stable condition and her life is not in danger.
The tragedy has left a deep scar on the local community, as hostile strikes continue to take a heavy toll on civilian lives. This attack underscores the harsh reality faced by ordinary families caught in the crossfire of an ongoing armed conflict.
The Grim Toll on Civilians
This event highlights the alarming consequences of military hostilities for non-combatants, particularly in the midst of an active war zone. Authorities must step up efforts to protect citizens and provide support to the families affected by such violence.
Incidents like these call for a stronger international response and renewed efforts to resolve the conflict, in order to prevent further tragedies from striking innocent people.
