Attack on the Kyiv Region
According to UATV: In the early hours of Saturday, Russian forces launched a strike on the Kyiv region, resulting in four fatalities, 15 wounded individuals, and damage to 30 structures. Three of the victims were reported in Brovary, while one person died in the Vyshhorod district. The assault severely damaged a public dormitory in Brovary and destroyed two buses from the municipal fleet.
Residents' Reactions
Damage was recorded across 30 sites in four districts of the region. These events have stirred deep emotions among local residents. One woman, Svitlana, shared her experience:
“We went down to the basement, and again those explosions. God, when will this all end, God! I think we’ll most likely have to move, because there are no windows—they were blown out, the doors were blown off too, we’ll probably be looking for new housing.”
Another resident, Stanislav, described the horrific aftermath of the blast:
“At three in the morning, there was a powerful explosion, it blew out the windows and destroyed everything. It’s even scary to talk about the victims we had today. Look at how much property is destroyed—this bus, the wheels, everything is shattered—it’s terrible! It’s a shame what this ‘Russian world’ destroys, what it brings to all of us in Ukraine.”
The situation in the Kyiv region remains critical, with residents continuing to face fear and uncertainty due to ongoing threats from the aggressor.
This attack highlights the anxiety and instability that residents of the Kyiv region endure, as such strikes become increasingly frequent. The damage to infrastructure, including residential buildings and public transport, underscores the severe impact on daily life in the area. As the war persists, it is crucial for the international community to keep monitoring the situation and provide necessary support to Ukraine for recovery and civilian protection.
