A local woman named Liudmyla described the scene:

“The noise—everything flew. A crazy draft, we only managed to jump into the vestibule. All the apartments slammed shut.”
Another witness, Valentyna, recalled:
“I didn’t hear it coming, but I heard the impact because I was home. All the windows blew out, the door jammed, and I couldn’t get out of the entrance.”
She added:
“It all happened so suddenly. I was doing laundry, so I was in the bathroom. When all the doors flew open—pantries, refrigerator, everything—then I smelled the smoke.”

In one district of Sloviansk, a man was wounded during the assault. These incidents further underscore the escalating conflict in the region and the grave threat it poses to civilians.

The attacks on Kramatorsk and Sloviansk highlight the alarming situation in Ukraine, where non-combatants continue to suffer the consequences of military operations. There is a growing need for international response and humanitarian aid for the affected areas, as such strikes create serious challenges for the country’s security and stability. The events also point to an escalation of the conflict, which could have far-reaching implications for peace efforts in Ukraine.
