Attack Targets Energy and Civilian Infrastructure in Odesa Region

According to Novyny.live: An attack on energy and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odesa region has left one person injured, caused power outages, and triggered an air raid alert in neighboring Romania. The strike occurred in the southern part of the Odesa region, damaging an energy facility. As a result, the town of Vylkove and several settlements within the Vylkove community lost electricity.

Among the casualties is a 47-year-old man, whose condition is currently stable. During the attack, Romania declared an air alert at 3:47 a.m. on June 26, which was lifted at 4:23 a.m. Alerts were also issued in the Bolhrad, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Izmail districts at 3:12 a.m., with the all-clear sounding at 4:15 a.m.

Previous Strikes on the Odesa Region

This incident is not the first to hit the Odesa region. Earlier, on June 23, Russian forces attacked the area with drones, killing a 26-year-old woman. On June 21, a ballistic missile strike on the Odesa region claimed one life and injured three others. The situation in the region remains tense, and local emergency services continue to address the aftermath of these attacks.

These events in the Odesa region underscore the ongoing military operations that are causing severe harm to civilians and infrastructure. Given the repeated strikes on the area, it is critical that local authorities have sufficient resources to respond effectively. Such incidents can lead not only to material damage but also to humanitarian crises that require attention and support from both the state and international organizations.
