According to UATV: On June 14, 2023, Russian occupation forces launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. A 73-year-old woman was killed when a vehicle was struck. Those injured included women aged 73, 74, and 68, as well as a 74-year-old man.

In a separate incident during the same assault, a 44-year-old man was killed at a public transport stop, and a 17-year-old boy was wounded. According to Ivan Fedorov,

“The Russians attacked a car in Bileńke with an FPV drone. The strike killed a 73-year-old woman. Women aged 73, 74, and 68, along with a 74-year-old man, were injured.”

Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Earlier, on the night of June 14, the Russian military targeted Ukraine with 98 attack drones. The types of drones used in this operation included:

  • Shahed
  • Gerbera
  • Italmas
  • Parody

These events underscore Russia’s ongoing aggression, which continues to inflict civilian casualties. The use of drones, particularly FPV models, highlights evolving tactical methods in modern warfare that pose unpredictable risks to non-combatants.

This escalation of violence demonstrates the grave dangers faced by civilians in the conflict zone. The tense situation in Ukraine raises urgent concerns about public safety and the potential trajectory of future military actions by both sides.
