According to UATV: On June 12, 2023, Russian forces launched attacks on the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, resulting in significant casualties and damage to infrastructure. In Zaporizhzhia, a shopping center was hit, leaving one woman with shrapnel injuries. Vehicles parked nearby were also damaged in the assault. Additionally, a strike on a logistics hub sparked a fire.
According to the regional military administration, two people died and three were wounded in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day. In total, Russian occupiers carried out 949 strikes across 44 settlements, underscoring an escalation of the conflict in the area.
Aftermath of Attacks in Kherson
In Kherson, a drone dropped explosives on a market, triggering a large blaze. A 73-year-old woman lost her life in this attack. Elsewhere in the Kherson region, shelling wounded six people. Yaroslav Shanko, head of the city's military administration, confirmed the impact of the strikes and urged residents to remain cautious.
