Kharkiv Under Fire: March 25, 2023 Attack
According to UATV: A Russian drone strike on the city of Kharkiv on March 25, 2023, claimed one life and left eight people wounded, including a teenager. The attack occurred before noon when a strike drone hit a residential building, sparking a fire. Local authorities reported that a woman who sustained injuries in the blast later died at the hospital that evening.
Impact and Response
The assault targeted Kharkiv's Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, the drone struck near a multi-story apartment block. The explosion ignited nearby parked cars and shattered windows in surrounding high-rises. Emergency crews from the State Emergency Service quickly extinguished the blaze.
According to Yevhen Vasylenko, the attack involved Shahed-type drones. He stated,
“The enemy used unmanned aerial vehicles to strike the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, there was a direct hit near a multi-story residential building. As a result, parked cars caught fire and windows were blown out.”
