For two days following the incident, Red Cross personnel were on site providing assistance to those affected. A regional coordinator for the Red Cross organization stated:
“People have stabilized somewhat for now, but there are still those who require further support.”This highlights the lasting impact the assault has had on local residents, including their psychological well-being.
Local residents have also shared their firsthand accounts. One woman, Lidiya Ivanivna, recalled: 'I was just leaving the store when four projectiles flew past and exploded somewhere. I ran straight home.' These testimonies underscore the intense fear and urgency felt by civilians as they desperately sought safety.
