Russia attacked mines in Dnipropetrovsk region: 2600 miners were underground.
According to inkorr.com: Russia has delivered a new strike, as a result of which eight coal mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region were left without electricity. Approximately 2600 miners were underground at that moment. Fortunately, thanks to the timely actions of rescuers and mine personnel, all miners were safely brought to the surface, and there were no casualties or injuries.
“Russia continues its energy terror. Another strike has jeopardized the lives of thousands of miners. Russia continues to fight against civilians. The tactic of the Russians is clear – to leave Ukrainians without light and heat in winter,” noted Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.
This attack is far from the first in recent days. Earlier, Russian troops struck coal enterprises in the Donetsk region, leading to their damage and work stoppage. Additionally, an incident where Russian aircraft hit a thermal power station in Sloviansk resulted in the death of two workers and injuries to five others.
Ukrainian miners and energy workers continue to fight against Russia's terrorist attacks, risking their lives for the energy independence of the country.
Given the constant Russian attacks, the situation in Ukraine's energy sector remains complicated. Authorities and specialists are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of workers and the stability of energy supply amid aggression. These events highlight the importance of international support in protecting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
