Seven Children Among Wounded in Shahed Drone Strike on Mykolaiv Region.
Aftermath of the March 28 Evening Attack on Mykolaiv Region
According to Novyny.live: On the evening of March 28, 2023, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine's Mykolaiv region using Shahed drones. This assault left eight people injured, seven of whom were children. All victims were taken to hospitals for medical treatment.
The attack follows a pattern of escalating hostilities. Just hours later, during the night of March 29, enemy drones were again detected over Mykolaiv region. These incidents come after a previous strike on March 12, when Russian forces targeted railway infrastructure in both Sumy and Mykolaiv regions, further disrupting civilian life and transport.
Earlier, on March 4, a Russian strike in the city of Mykolaiv hit a train, wounding a dozen people. The security situation across the region remains extremely tense, with civilians bearing the brunt of ongoing aggression.
Rising Violence in the Region
These events underscore a dangerous escalation of violence that poses severe risks to local residents and critical infrastructure. As attacks persist, the need to protect civilians and ensure their safety has become increasingly urgent, with the threat to human life remaining critically high.
It is vital for the international community to focus on the crisis in Mykolaiv region and to strengthen support for Ukraine in countering this aggression.
