Emergency power outages across Ukraine: what is happening in the energy system.
According to inkorr.com: Emergency power outages have begun in all regions of Ukraine due to the critical situation in the united energy system. The only exceptions are Donetsk region and some areas of Chernihiv region.
Reasons for the introduction of restrictions
According to information from the Ministry of Energy, the main reason for the introduction of emergency restrictions is the consequences of Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy system. A special regime has been introduced in Chernihiv with three phases of hourly outages instead of emergency ones. In all regions where the energy infrastructure has been damaged due to shelling, emergency restoration work is ongoing.
'If you currently have electricity - please use it sparingly,' the Ministry of Energy addressed the Ukrainians.
Ukrenergo also confirmed that emergency outages are taking place due to the complicated situation in the energy system. Citizens are urged to use electricity sparingly as the restoration of infrastructure continues.
Emergency outages are a forced measure aimed at balancing energy consumption under difficult conditions. The authorities urge the population to conserve energy to help avoid even larger-scale restrictions on electricity use. The situation in the energy system requires close attention, and collective efforts can help overcome this crisis.
