Vehicle Registration through Diia: What New Series are Now Available to Ukrainians.

Re-registering a Vehicle through 'Diia': What You Need to Know
On Ukrainian roads, it is becoming increasingly common to see vehicles with 'DI' license plates. This is due to the possibility of re-registering vehicles through the 'Diia' application, reports 'Avto 24'.
When re-registering through 'Diia', the owner can choose new license plates with the series 'DI' or 'PD'. If the registration is done through the driver's electronic cabinet in the Unified State Register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the vehicle receives plates with the series 'ED' or 'DC'.
The cost of the service is 1105 hryvnias, including the certificate form and license plate. When registering through 'Diia', an additional delivery fee of about 1500 hryvnias must be paid for the documents.
The service is available for individuals re-registering passenger cars, motorcycles, and mopeds. An important condition is the presence of passport data and tax numbers of all participants in the transaction in the application.
There are certain restrictions: the seller can only re-register one vehicle per year due to tax legislation. For buyers, there is no limit on the number of purchases.
Conditions for Refusal of Re-registration
The system may refuse re-registration if:
- The vehicle was registered before 2013
- Data is missing in the electronic register
- The vehicle or participants in the transaction are wanted
- Information about the place of residence is missing in the demographic register
Owners can also choose 'fancy' numbers costing from 4800 to 96000 hryvnias.
