Hybrid cars are gaining popularity in Ukraine: who and why are buying them.
The choice of cars by Ukrainian drivers
According to inkorr.com: According to a study by the Institute of Car Market Research, Ukrainian car enthusiasts choose their cars based on where they are purchased. In the domestic market, gasoline cars are in the highest demand, which are often the optimal choice for owners of older vehicles. At the same time, those interested in ecological technologies actively buy electric cars, mostly importing them. The most significant changes are observed in the market for new cars, where hybrid models are gaining more and more supporters.
"Hybrid cars are becoming the best alternative for those looking for a combination of savings and advanced technologies, but are not yet ready to fully switch to electric vehicles," said Ostap Novytskyi from the Institute of Car Market Research.
The popularity of hybrids may be linked to their advantages in fuel consumption and ecological qualities. In Ukraine, where economic conditions can be unstable, such cars are becoming attractive to many drivers who aim to reduce fuel costs. Ecological trends are also pushing Ukrainians towards the choice of new technologies, creating additional demand for electric cars and hybrids.
