The Azerbaijani parliament reported that the Russian Federation is behind the cyberattack that occurred in February 2025. According to the head of the commission for countering hybrid threats, the cyberattack was carried out by the group Apt29, which is linked to the Russian military intelligence. Hackers infiltrated the network of Azerbaijani media through the closure of the 'Russian House' and the possible closure of the Sputnik radio branch. Azerbaijan is also gathering evidence to present to the international court regarding the crash of Azerbaijan Airlines flight, which they claim was caused by Russia.
