Petrol, diesel, gas or electricity: which engine types do Ukrainians buy cars with more often.
According to "Ukrautoprom", in September 2024, cars with traditional internal combustion engines occupied 63% of the new passenger car market in Ukraine. This is 5 percentage points less than a year earlier, when their share was 68%.
Petrol engines remain the most popular, covering 37% of new car sales in September. However, this figure decreased by 9 percentage points compared to September 2023.
It is interesting to note the growing popularity of diesel cars, whose share increased from 22% to 26%. The share of hybrid cars has significantly increased - from 17.4% to 21.5%. The segment of electric vehicles also showed growth from 14% to 15%. Cars with LPG, as in the previous year, occupy less than 1% of new car sales.

- Hybrid cars: Toyota RAV-4
- Electric cars: Zeekr 001
- Cars with LPG: Hyundai Tucson
