Drone Strikes Hit LUKOIL Fuel Depots in Stavropol and Tver Regions.
Drone Attacks Target Oil Storage Facilities
According to Espreso.tv: On the night of Monday, July 8, a drone attack struck the LUKOIL-Yugnefteprodukt fuel depot in Mikhaylovsk, located in the Shpakovsky District of Stavropol Krai. Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed the incident, which targeted this key piece of infrastructure.
In addition, that same night, drones also attacked the Tvernefteprodukt fuel depot in the city of Tver. This wave of assaults followed earlier strikes on July 8, when drones hit the cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk. Reports indicate that in Nizhnekamsk, the Nizhnekamskneftekhim petrochemical complex and the TANECO oil refinery may have also come under fire.
Fallout from the Attacks
These events highlight a surge in drone activity across the region, which could have serious repercussions for industrial infrastructure.
The growing number of drone attacks on fuel depots and other vital facilities underscores an escalation in the conflict and potential threats to national energy security. Such incidents are likely to prompt tighter security measures at strategic sites, as well as new government actions aimed at safeguarding critical resources.
Given the tense international climate, these strikes could carry far-reaching consequences for the region's economy and stability.
