Ukraine has expanded the list of categories of citizens who are entitled to free travel on public transport. Pensioners, children from large families, relatives of deceased military personnel, victims of the Chernobyl disaster, and many other groups of citizens will be able to take advantage of this benefit.
Rights and Responsibilities
Citizens who use free travel must have supporting documents. Drivers and carriers are prohibited from denying transportation to privileged categories of citizens; otherwise, they will face fines. A new ticket sales system for international bus routes through a mobile application is also planned, which will enhance convenience for passengers.
The right to free travel on public transport in Ukraine has been extended to a number of categories of citizens, starting from pensioners to soldiers returning from the front line. Now they will be able to take advantage of the benefit, and the transport companies must provide them with the appropriate service without restrictions.Read also
