Up to 3,100 UAH: Pension Fund Reveals Who Qualifies for Independence Day Payments.
Key Details on One-Time Cash Assistance
According to Novyny.live: In August 2026, Ukraine will roll out special one-time payments tied to Independence Day, as clarified by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. These disbursements, governed by government resolution No. 602, will range from 450 to 3,100 UAH, depending on the recipient’s category. This initiative is part of broader state efforts to recognize citizens who have contributed to national security or have suffered due to the war.
Payment Amounts by Group
The one-time aid targets several population segments. Individuals with exceptional achievements will receive 3,100 UAH, combat veterans will get 1,000 UAH, and families of fallen defenders are entitled to 650 UAH. War veterans, former concentration camp prisoners, and those forcibly deported for labor will receive 450 UAH. Citizens with war-related disabilities also qualify for substantial support:
- 3,100 UAH for those with Group I disability
- 2,900 UAH for Group II
- 2,700 UAH for Group III
To claim the benefit, eligible individuals should visit Pension Fund service centers to complete the application process. Importantly, under paragraph 7 of the established procedure, these one-time payments—including the Independence Day allowance—will not be counted toward a family’s average monthly total income within a single calendar year.
This payout reflects the Ukrainian government’s continued commitment to supporting various citizen groups, especially those who have rendered special service to the nation, fought on the frontlines, or live with disabilities. By combining financial aid with symbolic recognition of sacrifice and contribution, the measure aims to strengthen social cohesion during challenging times.
