Belarus restricted fuel supplies to Russia due to low prices – intelligence.

Fuel supply restrictions from Belarus to Russia
Due to the fuel crisis in Russia, Belarus is imposing restrictions on fuel supplies to the Russian Federation. The gasoline shortage has led local authorities in Russian regions to start implementing fuel rations. At the same time, Belarus is not in a hurry to assist its ally, as reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, as noted by FREEДОМ.
Belarusian gasoline could partially compensate for the fuel shortage in Russia, but Minsk is acting cautiously, considering the limited capabilities of its oil refineries. Selling fuel excess to the Russian market proves unprofitable for Belarus.
“Belarusian gasoline is more profitable to export to international markets: to China, India, and Africa, where prices range from $1,300 to $1,900 per ton. In Russia, on the other hand, they offer less than a thousand. Even during the last fuel crisis in March 2024, Minsk sent only 3,000 tons of gasoline to Russia, which accounted for 0.1% of the monthly needs,” the Ukrainian intelligence agency reported.
It is reminded that it was previously mentioned that the Ukrainian defense forces stopped about 17% of the capacities of Russia's oil refining industry. These circumstances only deepen the fuel crisis in the country and threaten the stability of energy supplies.
