No more TCC: Ukrainians will be able to undergo VLK in regular hospitals using Reserve+.
The Ministry of Defense plans a digital reform in VLK
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced an important reform in military medical commissions (VLK). According to the Ministry of Defense, people will no longer need to travel to territorial recruitment centers to undergo VLK. Instead, the procedure can be carried out in medical institutions at the place of residence. Document exchange will be conducted online, which will significantly simplify and expedite the process.
The reform was presented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, and the organization 'Principle'. It aims to eliminate the shortcomings of the current VLK system. Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Melnyk acknowledged that the current system has many drawbacks and complications. He noted that this system is outdated and bureaucratic, thus requiring changes.
'The principles of VLK operations have not changed for decades. The system that exists now is a remnant of the old administrative approach. It is full of shortcomings, unnecessary bureaucratic complications, and corruption risks,' said Serhiy Melnyk.
The Ministry of Defense also responded to questions about the introduction of 'tracking of summons' in Reserve+. The exact details of this initiative are still unknown.
