The majority of deputies in the European Parliament will support Ukraine, - head of the Ukraine-EU association committee.


The head of the Ukraine-EU Association Committee, MEP from Finland, General Pekka Toveri, confirmed his support for Ukraine. He noted that the majority of the new composition of the European Parliament also supports Ukraine. This was announced after his election as head of the EU-Ukraine Association Committee.
The deputy stated that he wants to meet with his Ukrainian colleagues from the Verkhovna Rada as soon as possible to discuss cooperation.
He emphasized that he would work with a large group of associates to gain support from all political parties and groups and fully support Ukraine. They plan to consider energy security, military support, and other issues.
The European politician stated that providing military assistance to Ukraine will not be an easy task, but the European Union will find ways to implement it.
Pekka Toveri also noted that it is important for Ukraine to maintain the unity of society and political forces in order to preserve the country's freedom and independence.
