According to Novyny.live: Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has addressed the growing friction in his country’s relationship with Ukraine, warning that some recent statements and actions are benefiting Moscow. According to Sikorski,

“unfortunately, various remarks and moves have led to a situation where Russians can take satisfaction in how they have managed to pit Poles and Ukrainians against each other.”

On July 11, Poland will observe the National Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Volyn tragedy. Most commemorative events are scheduled to take place in Chełm and Warsaw. However, joint Polish-Ukrainian ceremonies appear unlikely at this point, underscoring the persistent tension between the two countries.

In a separate incident in Kraków, unknown individuals desecrated the grave of Ukrainian writer Bohdan Lepky. Polish police have not linked the act to nationalist motives, yet it further highlights the fragile state of bilateral relations. Against this backdrop, both sides face the challenge of reducing hostility and restoring constructive dialogue.
