Up to 65,000 UAH in Agricultural Grants for Displaced People in Volyn Region.
Financial Aid for Internally Displaced Persons
According to Novyny.live: Starting in March 2023, the charitable organization 'Caritas-Spes Ukraine' will launch a grant program to help internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Volyn region restore small-scale farming and livestock operations. This initiative aims to support households struggling due to the war.
Grants of up to 55,000 UAH are available for crop farming, and up to 65,000 UAH for livestock farming. The project, named 'AGRO — Improving Food Security Among IDP Families in the Volyn Region,' has limited resources. Only IDP households with experience in crop or livestock farming, access to a land plot of 0.15 to 2 hectares, and who have not received assistance in the last six months are eligible. Applicants must not be registered as individual entrepreneurs (sole proprietors).
Program Participation Requirements
To apply, candidates must complete a special pre-registration form. For more information and consultations, call the 'Caritas-Spes Ukraine' hotline at 0800 300 344.
Additionally, the organization has announced a second wave of the 'REMARKET' program, offering grants of up to 237,000 UAH for residents of Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Mykolaiv regions, which will also support the growth of micro and small businesses in those areas.
This initiative by 'Caritas-Spes Ukraine' is a crucial step to assist internally displaced persons who lost their homes and livelihoods due to the war.
Providing financial grants for restoring agriculture and livestock farming can significantly improve food security for these households and help them regain self-sufficiency. The program's clear eligibility criteria ensure resources go to those most in need. Furthermore, the new wave of the 'REMARKET' program highlights a broader trend of supporting small businesses across Ukraine during this challenging period.
