Fighter of the 65th Brigade Defended a Semi-Enclosed Position for 56 Days.
A fighter with the call sign Macgregor, serving in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade, spent 56 days at the front line. He was in a position repeatedly surrounded by occupiers but never captured. This is reported in the TSN story.
Due to frequent shelling and long distances, comrades who were supposed to relieve the fighter couldn't reach him – they came under fire. Therefore, Macgregor fought the enemy alongside his comrade.
Throughout this period, the fighters received support from comrades using drones. They dropped grenades on fighters approaching Macgregor's position. Drones also delivered food, water, and ammunition to them.
“I allowed them to come as close as 10-15 meters, and then I shot at them with a machine gun,” Macgregor said about the battles with the occupiers.
Finally, the comrades managed to evacuate the fighters from the dangerous position.
In Zaporizhzhia, the enemy has abandoned mechanized attacks and now uses only infantry on motorcycles and hundreds of drones. In the last two weeks, the number of attacks has increased. The occupiers are trying to gain as much territory as possible before winter, but they are not succeeding.
Recall, Russian forces are increasing their activity in the western part of the Donetsk region due to the onset of autumn impassability.
