Russians conducted 33 assaults in the Pokrovsk direction in one day: battle map of August 27.
According to FREEДOM:
Situation on the front line on August 27
As of August 27, the General Staff of Ukraine recorded 110 combat engagements by 22:00. Most of the enemy's attacks took place in the Pokrovsk direction, and activity was also observed in the Lyman area, reports FREEdom.
Actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk direction
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to destroy the enemy's manpower and equipment. Drone operators effectively carry out their tasks, destroying Russian motorcycles and tanks.
In addition, Ukrainian intelligence released video footage from the Zaporizhzhia and Lyman directions, showing drone operators striking transport, fortifications, armored vehicles, and personnel of the Russian military.
In the outskirts of Kupiansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an enemy ammunition depot. Ukrainian defenders report that Russian saboteurs are trying to hide in the cellars of abandoned buildings, waiting for the main forces. However, Ukrainian special forces regularly clear the area, eliminating such groups.
'The number of tanks with the Russians has decreased significantly, not because we have started shooting worse, but because they are using them less. With such drone operations that hunt heavy machinery, as well as light machinery, only small assault groups remain. There is no other way,' commented military analyst Alexey Hetman on the tactics of the Russians.
Combat actions in other directions
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops carried out 20 attacks on ten settlements. In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army tried to breach the Ukrainian defense six times, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 15 attacks in the Novovodyane area. The highest activity is still observed on the Pokrovsk front, where today 33 battles took place.
According to the General Staff, no fights were recorded in four directions: Kramatorsk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Dnipropetrovske.
Experts note an escalation along the contact line in the Zaporizhzhia region, asserting that the occupiers continue to attempt to advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk region.
'Fighting is taking place for the villages located in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk. In addition, the situation around Kupiansk has worsened. It should be noted that in the most difficult direction — around Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad our troops are conducting counterattacks. This indicates that active defense is ongoing,' commented the founder of the charity fund 'We will close the sky of Ukraine,' Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko on the situation at the front.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Ukrainian defense forces killed 920 Russian occupiers. The total combat losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have already exceeded 1 million 78 thousand soldiers. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed one tank, 45 artillery systems, two hundred drones, and more than one hundred units of enemy automotive equipment.
The current situation at the front remains tense, with active combat operations in several directions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to actively resist Russian attacks, using modern technical means to destroy the enemy. In the context of ongoing battles, it is essential to maintain the morale of Ukrainian troops and provide the necessary resources for the effective execution of their tasks. Such reports highlight not only the losses of the occupiers but also instances of successful destruction of key enemy objects.Read also
