President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on new sanctions and announced the appointment of a new head of the Hetman Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.

The decision of the National Security and Defense Council concerns the blocking of propagandists working for Russia, individuals who have switched sides to the enemy, and those who help Russia continue the war. The decree also provides for the deprivation of state awards.

According to a survey in the application 'Army+', the new head of the National Army Academy will be Colonel Roman Kachur, who previously commanded the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade. The Commander-in-Chief and the Commander of the Ground Forces proposed five candidates, including Brigadier Generals Serhiy Baranov and Mykhailo Sydorenko, as well as Colonels Yevhen Lasychuk, Oleksandr Bakulin, and Roman Kachur.

'We need the highest quality training for our soldiers, our officers, and training based on the experience of this war, based on the heroism of Ukrainian guys at the front,' the President emphasized.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Umeyrov has been tasked to appoint Colonel Kachur as the head of the academy. The new head should conduct a complete audit of the institution, including financing, training of cadets, and personnel composition.
