Two British women hit by a car in Ibiza: mothers with children in critical condition.
Tragedy in Ibiza
According to The Sun: A mother from Britain who was hit by a taxi in Ibiza along with a friend has spoken to her family for the first time after both women fell into critical condition.
Lauren Holmes, a 27-year-old mother of two, is fully conscious, however, as reported by her friend, 'she remembers nothing.' Family rushed to her hospital on the Spanish island.
SolarpixEbony Cordingley, a 26-year-old mother of three, also sustained serious injuries.
Her sister Shannon reported that Ebony suffered a 'brain hemorrhage, lung bleeding, broken legs, broken ribs, and multiple bruises.'
Both women became victims of an accident involving a Toyota Corolla driven by a 24-year-old Spaniard on the El-600 road between Ibiza and San Antonio on Tuesday morning, the Civil Guard reported.
On Tuesday evening, Lauren's and Ebony's mothers, as well as Lauren's boyfriend, arrived in Ibiza.
Bernice Ramsden, Lauren's 47-year-old mother, said that the two friends from Bradford, West Yorkshire, had gone on a short holiday when this tragedy occurred.
The accident happened on what should have been their last night at the resort.

Ms. Ramsden noted: 'This was supposed to be just a little holiday.'
“I learned what happened when her friend called me and said: 'Don't worry, there was an accident, she was hit by a car.'”
“She said 'don't panic,' but I panicked on all levels, calling people trying to find out what was happening.”
Lauren, who has a nine-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son, sustained two broken legs, a broken arm, a spinal injury, broken ribs, and punctured lungs as a result of the accident.
She is currently in the ICU of the Can Misses state hospital.
Ms. Ramsden noted that her daughter talks but is confused and under the influence of morphine.
Friend Ethan Hawks, who arrived in Ibiza with Ms. Ramsden, said:
“She remembers nothing, the last thing she remembers is what they were eating.”
“Her younger son is autistic, so he doesn't understand, but her daughter is just in despair. She wants her mom to come home.”
“We don’t know what’s happening with the taxi driver, we don’t know if he was arrested, we don’t know if he has insurance.”
“They said she will need to stay in the hospital for six to eight weeks if she receives treatment here.”
“We asked about the possibility of bringing her home, and they told us it would cost about £33,000.”
The fundraising page was created by a relative of friends Tyler Gray for financial assistance for Lauren's treatment and to bring her 'home to her children.'
A separate fundraiser has been organized for Ebony.
Ebony, who has three sons, is receiving treatment at the Nuestra Senora del Rosario private clinic.
