Preliminary data suggests that the tourist nearly collided with the suspect's motorcycle, triggering the street conflict. Pantarak, also on a motorcycle, allegedly drew a gun and fired, hitting the Brit in the arm.

Interestingly, after the shooting, the attacker drove the wounded man to the hospital, where doctors provided him with emergency care. However, after this, Pantarak fled the hospital before the police arrived.

The police apprehended the suspect at his home. Currently, the Brit is safe and out of danger, but authorities are checking his status, as he has overstayed his visa in the country.

Police Colonel Phasawin Kaewtai stated: “We received reports that a British man had been shot and injured.”

According to police information, the Brit was supposed to leave Thailand on August 22, and the shooting occurred on August 26. “When I visited him in the hospital, he looked content, even went out for a smoke, with no signs of regret,” added the police officer.
