Britons named the 10 least reliable used cars: which models to avoid.
What Car? magazine and MotorEasy conducted a survey among 29,967 drivers, which revealed the ten least reliable used cars up to five years old.
Least reliable cars
The list of unreliable cars was published on the publication's website. Among them was the Nissan Juke (2019-2022).
The compact second-generation crossover has an attractive exterior and a thoughtful interior. However, the survey results showed that this model has only 50% reliability.
According to the research, nearly a third of Juke car owners encountered faults that rendered their vehicles unusable. Problems with the 12-volt battery, engine, braking and fuel systems, as well as various electrical components, were the most common.
Owners also reported that, on average, 66% of the cars were in repair for more than a week. The costs of fixing faults in more than half of the cases exceeded £1,500 for each case.
Other cars in the ranking
In addition to the Nissan Juke, the list of unreliable vehicles also included the MG 4, Vauxhall Mokka Electric, Kia Sportage diesel, Mazda CX-60, MG ZS Electric, Volkswagen Golf diesel, Vauxhall Corsa Electric, Seat Leon, and Range Rover Evoque.
According to the What Car? magazine and MotorEasy survey, the Nissan Juke emerged as one of the least reliable used cars up to five years old. Owners of this model frequently encountered various faults that often required lengthy and costly repairs. Such issues can significantly affect the experiences of car owners and demand significant expenses for maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle.
